So ferals were squatting in the Talledega national Forest, preying upon hikers and other visitors, like pirates on dry land (well, humid land). I hope the Sheriff has cadaver dogs check the woods for other victims, since I bet thi was not the first performance. Good on Alabama for charging both Hider, the main perpetrator, and Pinkins, her accomplice, charged with murder, kidnapping, and robbery, and Pinkins with child endangerment (for having a shotgun-toting 5 year old involved). May they get the death penalty they richly deserve.

Situations like this develop quickly, and it would have been hard not to let the murderous scum get the drop on them. I salute Adam Simjee for saving his girlfriend’s life, and regret that he lost his own.

As officers were ordering the female to the ground a 5-year-old child ran from the woods holding a loaded shotgun. Law enforcement told the child to put the shotgun down however the child continued to the female’s location before laying the gun on the ground.

I thing I'll be adding the keyword, "ArmedCitizen," to this posting because it's relevant.
