I am familiar with the study you reference and you are mis-rembering and overstating the effects. You are also forgetting that sexual biography had similar effects on men’s marital happiness.

The study found that if a woman has 4 or more sexual partners it severely damages her pair bonding ability. Further they found that more partners damaged the chances of a successful marriage pair bonding more.
They did not find any similar number of partners for men that would damage pair bonding ability. The brains of men and women are not identical and what affects a womans pair bonding ability isn’t the same as a mans. At least they couldn’t find any correlation between number of partners for men as a predictive factor in successful pair bonding outcomes.
