The US needs a Gordian Knot slayer.
I think it would be very simple.
Freeze all hiring and have each department justify the requests for more people. If they can’t, cut that position.
Tell the Dept of Interior and the Dept of Energy, that they will be moving all operations to the Midwest, where the Interior and Energy are. Most of those DC swamp rats wouldn’t be able to survive in Oklahoma City or someplace like that.
Start defunding the Dept of Education till it’s gone and justify by it saying all that tax money will be kept by the states to use as they wish.
Assign a group to determine why the country needs two agencies to ‘defend the Homeland’. Either the FBI or Homeland Security.
The State Dept is a relic from the 1800s and 1900s when travel around the world took weeks and months and communication was done by a courier carrying a pouch. A person can be anywhere in the world in less than a day. You can talk to someone half way around the world with and iPhone. Absolutely ZERO reason to have massive embassies in all the ‘cool’ cities, like London, Paris, Rome, etc, where all the FSOs, diplomats and staffers do it party on the US taxpayer dime. They only have to pay for their food and phone bill, when they’re posted overseas. And their kids normally go to schools that cost around $20-30k a year to attend. A friend was living in a $1.2million rental when he was posted in Canada.
And what have we got from the State Dept, pre and post Pres Trump? Idiots that know ZERO about business and trade as that is all they do. It’s no wonder why he sent Ross, Mnuchin, Navarro and Lighthizer to renegotiate everything. State Dept folks know nothing and could care less.
And eliminate the VA. For one, it’s a disaster and veterans that have actually been hurt or need treatment should get better care than they receive there. Second, due to the incompetence of the morons in Congress, it has become another entitlement program for veterans where they tell their VA counselor upon getting out that they have all sorts of problems. PTSD(never been to war), bad back, hip, knees, ankles, shoulders, wrists, elbows, feet, loss of hearing....and VOILA....tax free disability check, for life ranging from a couple of hundred a month to over $3000 a month. Wonder how so many vets are driving around in $80,000 pickups? No you know.
And make judicious use of his Schedule F program.

As I’ve been saying for MANY YEARS (check my account), THE greatest threat to our freedoms, wellbeing, and our Free Constitutional Republic is not China, Iraq, or the Man in the Moon.
The GREATEST threat to our way of life is the $3 trillion unconstitutional portion of the $4 trillion Federal Government.
I seriously think God may have allowed Trump to not take the White House in 2020, so that more Christian Patriots would wake up to turning their hearts back to trusting in the Lord and away from trusting in man and his government.
What will it take to restore our Free Constitutional Republic? As I’ve repeated over the years, it is DISMANTLING the 80% unconstitutional portion of the feds, reinstating the Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land, and sending hundreds of thousands of officials, bureaucratic heads, and government workers home packing.
Don’t weep for them. Before you know it, our economy will have blasted off like a rocket ship and these folks will have plenty of choices to continue their livelihoods, just not at our expense.

The media doesn’t want to touch this. The media is complicit. All of the attacks and legal actions against Trump have proven to be false and unsuccessful in the eyes of your typical Democrat voter. Trump wasn’t removed from office. Trump wasn’t thrown in prison. But in the eyes of Democrat power brokers, all of the attacks and legal actions have been successful. There is success the moment they are announced. There is success as they are dragged out. There is even success after failures. They know this going into every incident against Trump. The lapdog media covers these events 24/7. That means the media doesn’t cover Trump success in making America great. This news coverage motivates Democrat voters. It reinforces RINO never Trumpers opinions. Quite honestly, these Democrat power brokers are not especially bright, but you need to understand that, by definition and statistics, 50% of Americans have below average intelligence. That figure is even higher among journalists. They don’t see through this charade.
Look at your calendar. November is approaching quickly. The pro-baby murder enthusiasm has waned. It’s time for Democrats to go to the playbook. What do we find there? Attack Trump. And scribbled next to the play is Our voters are stupid, they’ll buy anything.
The deep state goes along with it because they are against Trump AND there is zero personal consequence. The media goes along with it because they are less intelligent than average Democrat voters. I’m writing of the Don Lemons in the media. The few intelligent people in the media fully understand and agree with what’s happening.
I can only think of one way to neutralize the deep state. It has to be dismantled with large portions of government permanently shuttered. Oversight, processes, procedures and laws will not fix it. If we want credibility restored in government there needs to be new agencies with new people. Those agencies much be substantially smaller so they can be managed. Most importantly, a new deep state must never develop. That can be done with employment and benefit limits. No one should be allowed to work in government for more than 12 years. The only retirement benefit is a 401k, with no matching. There can be zero nepotism, even between entirely different parts of government. Lastly, public sector unions need to be outlawed at all levels of government - local, state and federal. That includes teacher and law enforcement unions. In short, no one gets rich by working in government. You do you public service and go back to the private sector to make your riches.
That is a good model for state and local governments, the military and Congress. The only lifetime positions should be the nine justices on the US Supreme Court.
The basic issue at hand — and it was as relevant in 2017-18 as it is today — is that under the U.S. Constitution there should NEVER be a situation where the President of the United States is subject to law enforcement oversight within the executive branch of the U.S. government. The scenario described in this article means the U.S. Justice Department is a de facto fourth branch of the Federal government. This is precisely why the entire DOJ must be dismantled if the nation is going to survive.
Who is going to implement this?
Where are they going to get the support to get this done?
Stroke of a pen, law of the land?
Likely will get whacked if they look like they have a toehold.
And that is if such a person is allowed to sit at the desk.
The whole present system and flow of power will need to be upended and discarded.
