But by all accounts there was nothing in the safe and the FBI didn’t take anything from it. Does that mean the confidential source got it wrong? Perhaps Trump set them up, and goaded the FBI into making asses of themselves. Wouldn't that be glorious?

I was reading either DU or Daily Kos in November of 2020, when some old hot head democrat started writing how a Trump political appointee in the EPA fired his wife who was SES.
She was going to apply for another position in a different department of the EPA.
This doesn’t fit the narrative that Trump hired a!l the wrong people in his administration, but its a true story, nevertheless.
