I think in the beginning no one knew what was going on or what they were going to do about the Pandemic.
It took a couple of months for the Democrats to really start to use Covid as they did.
The money relationship with “Big Pharm” is over played as they are all Publicly own Companies.
Many 401Ks invest in Pharmaceutical Companies, Mutual Funds, individual investors, all benefit or suffer losses.
There is not 3 dudes sitting in a giant office counting bags of money.
The vaccines weren’t a for sure go either. Trump is unpredictable and there was no guarantee he would accept them.
SARS viruses are dangerous but weaken over time. The hardest hit was Wuhan, China. They got the full strength of a novel SARS virus.
I recall watching as apartments in Wuhan being welded closed to keep people in. Roads blocked or even torn up to stop people from leaving or entering. Video and pics from Chinese E.R.s show dead piling up and much more.
When it hit Europe, Italy with their older population suffered a huge loss of life.
Then Western Europe. That’s when we saw the virus weakening.
Although we had many deaths at first, (Coumo’s Nursing Home Disaster) it was for the most part older people and people with pre-existing conditions.
I had presumed Covid early on. It’s presumed because of the symptoms and duration. There were no test available for another 4 months.
I was sick but in a very odd way. Never been sick like that before. About 10 months after I was still on an inhalant as needed. Never needed that before either.
The second week of May this year, I got a Variant. 3 freakin weeks I was sick but not bed ridden, although there were a couple of bad days. Back on the inhalant for awhile.
I did get Vaccinated in April of 2020 (after I had presumed Covid) after careful consideration. Second shot in June I think. I don’t regret that decision at all. I had many reasons why I did.
But right now, as it is, Covid-19 is almost gone. Presently the Variants are dominating the reported and tested cases.
The original Covid-19 vaccine is useless against any of the Variants.
As the Variants are able to get around the Covid-19 vaccine, the proteins have changed. This is normal.
The death rates have dropped significantly. Some people are infected and are unaware of it.
Now the SARS virus is like a Flu (symptomatically speaking). It took this long for Covid-19 to morph and weaken to become like a moderate Flu.
With each new variant, over time it will weaken more. Soon everyone will have been or be infected. Many won’t have a single symptom.
This 2 1/2 year long nightmare (which should have lasted only 1 year or so.) is near the end. For the original Covid-19, it is over.
Lets get back to living our lives.
Let’s bury it and let it die and not keep it alive with vaccine fear Porn for a vaccine people aren’t going to take anyway.
That’s why many observers or posters are referring to the anti-vax crowd that remain just as hyped up as they did in 2021 as cultish.
They say they hate it so much but won’t let it go. They keep reviving it. Breathing life into a dead irrelevant subject. Everyday the obsession lives when it ought not.
A vaccine they don’t even need now.
