Putin attacking Ukraine, rocket-bombing its population centers, committing various other massacres and atrocities, and grabbing its territory is a colossal WAR CRIME (or series of war crimes) and should be viewed as such by all civilized nations.

You are going to need to read some history about some of the nasty, terrible wars waged by Ukraine on other countries through their history.
Wars involving the slaughter of each other's populations are nothing new in Europe. Europeans have been slaughtering each other in all kids of wars for as long as I can remember. The Price has stopped going up, but volume continues to drop.

The short term adjustment was just short term. The long term adjustment is that Russia loses the European gas market that it took them a half century to build, and becomes a pariah for investment or trade - except for China, which will own them like they do North Korea.

After China appoints their next vassal after Putin, and puts in pipelines to drain off all the oil and gas it wants, the last remaining opportunity for regular Russians will be to send their girls out to service Chinese men
