It’s not because he wants to control the food supply, it’s because he sees dollar signs written all over the fake meat industry. Gotta grow lots of resources to make processed meat, and he wants in.

I wish someone would do a study on how many acres you need to grow/harvest in order to produce the same amount of meat you get from one cow. I bet it’s shockingly inefficient, and more environmentally harmful.

It’s always — always — about money with these people. You have to destroy an existing industry before you can grow the alternative, and there are always lobbyists and politicians willing to help...

Perspective. US has well over 900 million acres of farmland, not including forestland. Iowa alone has more than 30 million acres of prime farmalnd.

Foreign ownership of US farmland accounts for 35 million acres, the biggest share by far owned by Canadians, followed by owners from Netherlands, Germany and UK.

Chinese own less than Bill Gates.

Charlie Kirk, like Mitt, is a former anti-Trumper who is just grifting the gullible boomercons.

I would be in favor of farm and ranch ownership to be disallowed for those who are not citizens, and the land is not attached to their primary residence. Of course you would need a loophole for those having a working farm or ranch in the same County, they can have the land as an adjunct to their family business. Gates and others are not just taking land off the market, they are doing so with the intent of causing shortages, and distorting food prices and supply.

If anyone can figure out a way to make this a Capital Offense, I would be for it.

Any land in Michigan that’s North of the Thumb is not good farming.

One can farm it, people do farm it.

I have cherries and blue berries this year, the first time in 2 years.

Late freezing temps wiped out the cherry blossoms in 2020 and 2021.
Same with Blue Berries.

Corn is not easy. Most vegetables require protection from green houses.

I lost an entire vegetable garden in 2017 when it got down to 26 degrees one night in early July.
That was totally unexpected.

Gates has to be buying the land in Northern U.S. for other purposes.
Why not buy farther south where crops grow better, earlier and faster?

Yawn do people even know home much tier one farmland there is in the USA?

Over 800 million acres and if you include tier two it’s 930 million acres that’s not including rangelands for cattle. The USA looses over a million areas per year to developers that’s 5 times more than Gates owns. It’s a giant Fing nothingburger for Qtard idiots to jerk off over. Forpoint of.comparisons in the outback sheep farms are measured in the thousands of as km lowered by individuals.anything less than 1000,000 hectares is a hobby farm.

“Did you know that the Chinese [CCP] owns 100 million acres of farmland?"

I'm more concerned about food processing plants the Chinese own. Those plants can be 'closed on a dime'... at the worst moment.
