Valery is the top general in Ukraine. He has spent the last month begging Zelensky to allow him to pull back his forces where they were being surrounded and would be trapped into surrendering or death.
Zelensky has been adamant about all the forces being kept in place because he needed a “victory” to balance the Mariupol AZOV defeat. He felt the West would stop giving him more weapons if there was another defeat.
A day or two ago General Z met with Zelensky to report on the huge losses in Severodonetsk and about the new plan hatched with Mi6 to attack the Russians repeatedly at Snake Island and then when they withdrew to do a massive landing and flag planting on the Island for PR reasons. General Z said it was a “suicide mission.”
This news just out suggests the disagreement has been solved.
For over a month analysts have suggested the military might stage a coupe, though I never thought that likely. Not in GeneralZ’s character.
But with the inconvenient GeneralZ removed? Is a coup more likely or certain?
