If they want to stop school violence, start with the schools. Harden the schools and perhaps train police to protect students. Instead of giving million more to the teachers unions, send the money t the schools to buy on site protective gear that can be dispensed in seconds to LEO’s on site.
Bump stocks were nothing more than a ridiculous piense of equipment for the ‘gun range commandos’. The fact they were even an issue is beyond me.
Don’t bet on it.
The illegal alien inundation is changing the ENTIRE country.
If fully automatic weapons are against the law, then it is not a stretch to include bumpstocks. Not that I agree with banning fully automatic weapons. But still there seems to be good reasons to ban RPGs, no? So now it’s a matter of where you draw that line. Red flag laws have no line, they are all or nothing.
And when enough liberal move to:
Tennessee: Nashville Knoxville Chattanooga Johnson City and a few other cities, as hipsters love to move to small and destroy them, liberals will enable Democrat Governors, giving you a purple state.
Georgia: it may have what you call a “deep red legislature”. Sure. They’ve been rolling over like dying cockroaches as Kemp dishes out taxpayer money to every liberal company and industry he can find willing to take the bribes.
One Senator wanted to lower and cap the film credit to $900million. He was told to shut up and sit in the corner.
Kemp is giving the LARGEST tax package to an unproven EV car company, partly owned by Soros.
Liberals have taken over the 6th Congressional district via mass immigration from other parts of the country
About 11 or 12 counties in Georgia, all BLUE, could soon have enough people in them to drown out the Conservative vote as they in so many other states.
And with Mail In Voting and Drop Boxes now codified and still using Dominion machines, Nov 2022 will be interesting.
https://www.quora.com/Is-Greenville-SC-liberal-or-conservative …. Greenville used to be about as RED as they come. Not so much.
Si, señor
Any Republican voting for this bill needs to be primaried.
No more backstabbers.
Vote them out of office no matter what the costs...
That doesn’t matter in this case.
All of them are either safe for another 4 or 5 years or are retiring.
And by then, after they pass the amnesty they’ve been wanting to pass for years, it won’t matter as all the amnesty recipients will be allowed to vote, sooner than anyone thinks. The groundwork has already been laid.
To add bumpstocks to the NFA, and treat them as machine guns is one thing, but in the case of bumpstocks there was just executive action. No law passed, no debate in the house and senate. Which is the thing I massively disagreed with. It would be the same if V8 engines were banned by executive action. And RPGs, I can kind of get onboard with; however I believe destructive devices would include bthings like that. If that went away, I think you’d still have a lot of companies that wouldn’t sell to civilians for a while.
1929 Russia disarms its citizens:
Over the next 24 years, 20 million Russians are murdered.
1935 China disarms its citizens:
Between 1948 and 1952, 20 million Chinese are murdered.
1938 German disarms its citizens:
Over the next 7 years, 6 million Jews are murdered.
1956 Cambodia disarms its citizens:
1975-1977, one million people are murdered.
1964 Guatemala disarms its citizens:
Thereafter, 100,000 Mayans are murdered.
1970 Uganda disarms its citizens:
Over the next decade, 100,000 Christians are murdered.
2012 Venezuela disarms its citizens:
2022, we are seeing the result.
Why would anyone want to disarm law abiding US citizens????
Still waiting on Iowa to castrate that lying hawg Joni Ernst.
Frankly I was more troubled by his earlier Red Flag support than the bump stock ban.
Which of this year's candidates will make the repeal of this law a campaign objective?
That is complete BS. The NFA legislation in no way should cover bump stocks as written. It is regulatory overreach, thanks to Trump and the ATF.
With a bump stock the trigger is actuated for each shot. It is not a machine gun as defined by the NFA. Period.
26 U.S.C. § 5845(b) For the purposes of the National Firearms Act the term Machinegun means: Any weapon which shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be readily restored to shoot, automatically more than one shot without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger.
You are just wrong. A bump stock is all about rapid fire, simulating fully auto.
Read the damn bill. “Rapid fire” is not banned by legislation. Simulating automatic isn’t banned by legislation. One thing is banned: pull trigger once, multiple bullets come out of barrel. That is not what a bump stock does. If “simulating” fully automatic fire was illegal, Jerry Miculek would be banned.
