How about just repealing the 17th Amendment and go back to what the Founding Fathers intended for the Senate. Maybe even make the tie to the state corporately stronger like since state legislature appoints make it so they can withdraw it after two years.

I don't like the six year term. Look at the deception from the likes of McConnell and Graham to use Trump to get reelected and then they ditched him on January 6th. I prefer a four year term. Six years is just too long. The other reform that is needed is to limit political contributions to real, living people from within a state for a senator, or within a congressional district for Reps. in the House. Such things should be done by a constitutional convention, along with other needed reforms to restore state sovereignty and election integrity, abolish citizenship tourism for pregnant illegals, etc. Failure to do that likely means reform by other unspeakable methods.
