Perdue was a terrible candidate in 2020, and was a terrible primary candidate in 2022.
That is why he lost. He was perceived as another out-of-touch rich guy. Fair or not.
In 2020 Perdue and Loeffler both appeared disingenuous and elite. Their hats were handed to them (and to America).
Gop needs to field better candidates. I think Raphael Warnock is going down. Walker is a better candidate than either of thec2020 contenders for the GOP.
I hope Walker can run a good campaign since the media will have their knives out for him.
I watched The Journal Editoral Report this afternoon. Tokyo Rove had his white board with the numbers 30/70--his argument being that Trump-supported candidates rarely get much over 30% of the vote. He cherry-picked some multi-candidate races where the Trump-endorsed candidate won with a little over 30% and crowed about races where the person supported by Trump got under 30%. Just talked about a few races.
Rove, of course, is a never-Trumper. He may be right that Republican candidates will do better if they emphasize current issues and how bad the Democrat policies are rather than seeming to be obsessed with the 2020 election, but it seems to me that the people on Fox are under orders not to talk about the 2020 election (unless to pour scorn on Trump or his supporters).
