Elon Musk Warns Obama’s Top Staffer Voters Are Abandoning Democrats: ‘I Think It’s Big’

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has warned that former President Barack Obama’s top staffer voters are abandoning Democrats as the party pushes toward the far-left.

Jon Favreau was Obama’s top White House speechwriter.

He left the government and founded a liberal media company called Crooked Media.

He was not happy that Elon Musk publicly announced he would no longer vote or support Democrat politicians and will now vote Republican instead.

“In the past, I voted Democrat because they were (mostly) the kindness party,” Musk said earlier this week

“But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.

“Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold.”

Favreau fired back, saying: “Hey man, if you want to support a bunch of electric vehicle-hating climate deniers, that’s on you.

“Not sure it helps the cause that you and your team have dedicated much of your lives to, but I guess you’ll get some attention on Twitter, so there’s that!”

Musk: “Hi Jon!

“You’re a good dude, but obv die-hard Dem, so have to support the party, but this Adminstration has done everything it can to sideline & ignore Tesla, even though we have made twice as many EVs as rest of US industry combined.”

Favreau: “I know you’re mad that the guy who was part of a White House that made Tesla possible isn’t giving Tesla enough love now, but supporting climate-denying MAGA politicians who want to overturn elections isn’t the answer.

“You’re much closer to Dems on climate and I hope democracy.”

Musk: “I’ve just switched from moderate D to moderate R, as I think many independent voters have done.

“We will know the magnitude of this trend in November. I think it’s big.”

A Twitter user chimed in with:

“The point that Jon makes regarding government playing a crucial role in making Tesla, is not true.

“Yes, Tesla did receive an energy efficiency loan from govt in 2010 but so did many car companies like GM & Chrysler.

“It was actually the Daimler investment in 2009 that was crucial.”

Musk said: “Correct.”

The Twitter user said:

“And of all the US car companies that received the loan, only Tesla has repaid the full loan amount with full interest.”

I find it hard to believe. Unless they’re moving to more liberal politicians.

"I voted Democrat because they were (mostly) the kindness party"

He's not as smart as I thought he was.

Keeping multiple generations of people down and on the government teat with no hope for the future is not kindness. Flooding the country with illegal invaders is not kindness. Ruining many big city police departments so the thugs can easily prey on the defenseless poor is not kindness. Spending the country to oblivion and destroying the wealth of retirees is not kindness. Leaving the country nearly defenseless agains our enemies is not kindness.

Where do people get the idea that democrats were "kind"? The leaders of the party are the meanest and nastiest scalawags you would ever want to meet.

Yeah, but, no. I’m hearing similar things from formerly left or liberal people. It’s like they finally got their eyes opened. And I hear things like people know, they’re not going to stand for this anymore.

It’s interesting and kind of cute to see them pinning their hopes on Republicans winning to stop the craziness.

Why doesn’t Musk simply let Democrats find out on Election Day that they have no voter support?

I think Musk is right (which isn’t unusual). I know several people who voted Democrat for years, but who have now had it with the trans movement, cancel culture, support for “BLM” rioters, winking at homelessness, attacks on freedom of speech, etc.

They used to find Trump odious, but, to my surprise, they’re ready (almost eager) to vote for him in 2024. And they’re voting Republican this year.

Oh, and they're sick of the Covid paranoia too.

I dont trust this Muskite. He’s a Democrat and wholly owned by the CCP. I think he’s trying to rally them to vote because he knows they might lose. If, of course, we are not all locked down due to Monkey Pox. Musk is a pot stirrer and not much more.

If Musk’s Tweets reach 90M users, I believe that would be the reason. Just sayin.

Nonsense. (as far as just the headline goes)

If anything, they are abandoning Democracy for Communism. They are NOT becoming moderates, like Elon SEEMS to be doing.

Because they care. Care about poor people, handicapped, disadvantages, POC, women, etc. R’s are mean and don’t care because they make practical, hard choices about things like money.

Either he's very naive, or he's being cute.

You can tell from the way Democrats openly oppose freedom of speech and the press that they expect never to lose another election. Is that over-confidence or something else?

Why is a billionaire from South Africa doing more to help Republicans in the midterms than effin Turtle boy Mitch McConnell? When is the last time that bastard took any advantage of the Biden screw ups which are endless?

Correct.
And GM FAILED to pay back a massive $11 Billion of the $50 Billion government loan they got.

They've been doing that for as long as I can remember. And they still lose elections like everyone else does.

The part about Tesla and the government loans is only part of the story. The real story is the massive goverent subsidies consumers got if they bought electric vehicles.

Can’t find a person in this town who voted for Biden. Can’t find a bumper sticker, either.

McConnell is largely responsible for the 5-4 Senate majority that is overturning Roe.

McConnell believes that if you don't have the votes, nothing else matters. So he's always been myopically focused on getting/keeping a majority in the Senate.

Roe is a pretty huge payoff.
