Sorry to say, but I am convinced that a significantly large number of Americans simply cannot think for themselves. They are to some degree quite literally helpless. The only thing they know for certain is what the teevee tells them. The same people who hated Trump because the teevee told them. The same people who have Ukrainian flags outside or on their Facebook page. The same people who clung to their masks and got tattoos of their vax date. The very same people who are “undecided” all through an election and make up their mind the on election day depending on who might win or who had the best last ad. The same people who follow the Kardashians with religious fervor.

Americans have long become fat, dumb, and lazy. We want the government to steer our lives and make decisions for us. This is what we have come to. This same process has been repeated throughout end stage histories.

What I do know is we never had this problem before when the temperature was triple digits. The summer of 1980, it was 115 and I would come in from work and sit in front of the open fridge in nothing but a wet towel (thanks to grandad for getting a little window unit for me) but there was no outages then.
