The Days of Wine and Similac.

This champ had it all. Formula, breast milk laced with alcohol, nicotine and caffeine, moo juice, whiskey and an occasional taste of codeine.

When I was a baby, just weeks old, we lived in Ocean City, MD by the beach. There were a lot of clams there and my dad absolutely loved digging them up and eating them. Soooo... He chopped up bunches of raw clams and added them to my formula milk (although I don’t think they used the term “formula” back then). This was done without consulting the doctor and over my mother’s objections. My dad’s attitude was simply that clams are good so what’s the harm. Okay, I survived but maybe he overlooked that I could have been allergic to shellfish. I have a friend of mine who gets violently ill when he eats shellfish so imagine what that could do to a baby.
