Production might be up overall, but certain models are still in short supply. The venerable Ruger Redhawk, for instance.

A LOT of models aren’t available - certain types are flooding, but huge variety are just impossible. Decent shotguns are thin as paper.

Most ammunition and components are still impossible to find - 30-30 Win is nearly impossible to find outside of near-scalper mail-order rates.

I retained a lot of option value in my 2nd Amendment rights until 2020 when my father passed and I inherited 2 dusty rifles. I always wanted to get a handgun, but sat on the fence and watched new models and innovations proliferated until finally hearing Chuck Schumer utter some outrageous attack on my Constitutional rights and that did it. I went to Shoot Straight and ordered a Sig Sauer P365. As they say, I have more guns than I need, but not as many as I want. My collection will expand.

The gun industry should present an annual award to the politician who single-handedly increases gun sales the most in a given year. For me that was Chuck Schumer, for others Joe Biden, Maxine Watters, Laurie Lightfoot, etc., etc., etc.
