Do they have an obligation to do the right thing? I know what the left thinks and what the right thinks. What’s worse to the left is Trump in charge. I would think the oil companies would agree.

The last time oil hit $150, and the oils invested hand over fist, spot oil bottomed out by going negative. Total industry losses may have hit $500b. Biden has set the future CAFE minimum to 50 mpg, preparing the ground for further taxes and impediments to oil company survival. For them, the right thing is to hunker down and prepare for continued Federal and state persecution, not flush more shareholder cash down the drain.
