If I didn’t know better I’d say Warren Buffett’s railroad is intentionally playing dumb.

Also, I wonder what the class 1’s vax policy was. Hmm.

At some point this becomes intentional sabotage. People should hang, and CEO Katie can be first...I’m sure the blue collar crews would really miss her

"Also, France gets about 70% of its energy from nuclear power, and they just announced they will build another 40+ nuke plants."

Are you sure about the 40+ part? That will be the smartest thing anyone in the world is doing.

They'll be able to turn them over to the Islamists when they come to power in France in 15-20 years.

"Straight from the book, “Atlas Shrugged”."

Yup. Read that in 1965 the first time.

I used to give it to all graduating seniors who sent me an invitation. I don't know of a one who read it.

> no predictable work schedule and the need to be on call all of the time.

E.g. executive management insisting there’s a free lunch when you treat people like slaves. Couple that with automated performance metrics and workforce management by metric; it’s like watching Metropolis with a Black Sabbath soundtrack...

Couple it with the corporatist welfare state and yes, Ayn Rand nailed it....

If it was really a hill the train would need more than two locomotives.

Sure helps rail a great deal that the WH, last week or so, ordered the RR to halt all grain and fertilizer and related commodities. This will free up RR for vital things like chlorine and coal. The grain can rot in the fields, and the fert - well, who cares?

Several stories on FR.

Interesting.

RDF = ADF?

They have changed the name but they are apparently only talking about BioDiesel.

Having observed rail operations off and on, I find it amazing how much of the time loaded cars are just sitting around.

Joe “Mussolini” BiXiden can’t get the trains to run on time?

I would encourage you to read Ayn Rand’s non-fiction essays.

One place to start is “The Virtue of Selfishness”.

She warned us about evil people who want to use our good will as a weapon to turn us into their slaves.

Joe “Mussolini” BiXiden doesn’t want the trains to run on time. That would run counter to the Destroy The USA At All Costs Plan.

Turkey has 56 - building 93 more... Total 149

South Africa has 79 - building 24 more... Total 103

India has 589 - building 446 more... Total 1035

Philippines has 19 - building 60 more... Total 79

South Korea has 58 - building 26 more... Total 84

Why would grain and related commodities be rotting in fields in April? Fertilizer on the other hand has it’s greatest need around this time of year. Chlorine to sterilize drinking water, and coal to maintain heat and electricity probably seem more critical to more people. Not an easy batch of decisions to be making. The all college for everybody policies by both parties in recent administrations has not helped the labor situation. Not all jobs require a full 4 year degree, and unfortunately a liberal arts degree is not preparing people for the kinds of jobs in short supply listed in this post. Then again the kind of education that provides leadership of major corporations does not lend itself to an understanding of the needs and thinking of the many people they are trying to manage. There needs to be a social shift in attitudes, behavior, and RESPECT toward all kinds of working people.

This is showing up in the lack of high school education for non college or 2 year college paths. Thus I see in a region with many lower income African American high school students, many of the needed jobs are filled with hard working Latinos, while unemployment among the AA population is quite high. when I was in a large, well run high school almost 70 years ago we had 4 education tracks—liberal arts college, scientific oriented college, clerical jobs, and industrial jobs. We also had classes in sewing, cooking, and home nursing. Even though I got a college degree, those 3 classes have been useful in my life, especially as I cared for my mother and husband as they were dying and I did not need to help support them in $70,000 nursing care in their last years. It would cost more these days.

Its in the Plan?

“Fertilizer on the other hand has it’s greatest need around this time of year. Chlorine to sterilize drinking water, and coal to maintain heat and electricity probably seem more critical to more people.”

Yeah we don’t need no stinking fertilizer - out harvests are fert-free, as the concrete soil is loaded with minerals and other great plant food. We here always include in our meals generous helpings of chlorine and coal - bituminous, anthracite is too crunch for the kids.

Why could agricultural products be ready for harvest in April except for some in southern states? I am not suggesting that either fertilizer or chlorine and coal are not important, just that difficult choices might have to be made, like food rationing or water supply and electricity limits.

“Different choices” made by the WH to **deliberately** cause food shortages while putting some farms out of business to be scooped up by B. Gates for his nefarious reasons or add to the vast farmlands held by the CCP.

Different crops are harvested at different times.
