Most of my favorite lines from All In The Family were delivered by Archie. But one of them that wasn't was in a scene where Lionel bumps into Meathead one day and Meathead,as usual, goes right into racism...discrimination..etc,etc.

Lionel listens politely for a while and then interrupts his speech by saying "Hey,Mike...how come you and I never talk about the weather? We black folks have weather too you know".

Classic put down.

I laugh at the idea that when CBS brought in All in the Family and other newer shows to replace Ed Sullivan, Hogan’s Heroes, and the rural comedies they had (The Great Cornfield Massacre), they had in mind that Reiner and Struthers were going to be the stars that were going to reach out to the younger and more urban audiences they sought. Instead, it was Archie who turned out to be the main draw, lol.
