Left out was the Communist Party of Indochina and its’ various fronts including the Viet Minh and the coalition of political parties known as the Lien Viet. The governing coalition lasted about 2 years or less as Ho, using the old Salami Tactic to wipe out the opposition, one party at a time, until only his CPI was left with the Viet Minh as its’ military arm. The CPI became the Lao Dong Party of Vietnam.
Castro also had a fighting United front against Batista and when it won, he began his deadly purge of the non-Communist elements.
