Last I looked (~ a week ago?) 1 doz. large eggs were still about $1.26 at Aldi. Cage free ~2.65, IIRC.

We generate a lot of extra eggs from our little semi-free range flock, but, at present I just cook ‘em and feed them back to the flock. If regular store-bought eggs really go over $2 / doz. here, I may re-think that. (Should be able to get at least $3 / doz. for ours.)

Absolutely! Not only would you make some extra $. But, I promise you there is a market for those who want fresh eggs. I’m one and if you were nearby, I’d be your best customer.

“but, at present I just cook ‘em and feed them back to the flock.”

That’s cannibalism. Can you tell the difference between the Aldi eggs and the cage free? If so, what is it?

I’ve see organic free range eggs in grocery stores at $8 / doz. recently. Publix, north Atlanta suburbs.
