Your post was just after ratzoeā€˜s, and the two posts said a similar thing. I think youā€™re both correct. They will get rid of Harris, by the summer if they can. I wouldnā€™t be a bit surprised to see Hillary go in her place, but it could be someone else. Hillary keeps her name in the news though, and sheā€™s been doing a lot of talking lately.

Biden was doing very poorly in the early primaries until the DNC got scared that Bernie might win the nomination and forced all the other candidates to drop out.

They probably don't think Kamala could be re-elected twice--she would have a hard time being re-elected once if she completes Biden's term. So they could force Biden to step down before next January. They may already be scheming on who the 2024 candidate will be (not Kamala and not Hillary...Laura thinks Buttigieg but do they really think the country is ready to vote for someone for President solely because he is openly gay, when he has no accomplishments to point to?).

All of America and the world saw the decline of FDR.
Nobody wanted to say out-loud what should be done.
Poof!
Eleanor.
See also, Woodrow Wilson.

As long as the lungs fill and the heart beats, Joe will be POTUS.
If they get rid of Kamala (which is beginning to look likely, all bets are off.

:: Question is whoā€™s her replacement ::

Pelosi
She won’t be “in the line” after the Red Congress is sworn in.
Gotta give her her due.

Dunno! Kamala might be preferable to cabal that manages SloJoe. My sources tell me that SloJoe (with Dr Shill Jill!) is a problem to deal with as will not tolerate contradiction, has anger management problems, etc. Basically shows many of the unpleasant attributes of an Alzheimer patient.

If Kamala would just act as she knows her place, plays her role. Allows herself to be managed. Reads her scripts as written. She could be the replacement and the MSM would shower her with accolades. She would have her place in all the history books! Utterly and completely undservrved but modern American academia would describe her for history as a demigoddess and savior of the land.

It would be easy work too. She's fit for it like a well made glove, since she's fundamentally lazy. The question is: Will her ego and inflated view of her talents allow her to do it?

Yep. When I first penned my tag line a while back I mused, jokingly, that it could be Hillary. But as time went by I noticed she was popping up in the news more and more. Suddenly I started taking the joke more seriously.

Joe’s “Hunter problem” is huge, and seems to be worsening.
I don’t see Hillary fitting in the scheme anywhere. They’ve got to start with some fresh meat from somewhere, to build for the long term. The beast is too polarized, and muchly hated by factions on both sides.
I see Big Mike replacing mattress back. She’s(he) a star, you know!

“Laura thinks Buttigieg but do they really think the country is ready to vote for someone for President solely because he is openly gay, when he has no accomplishments to point to?).”

Buttigieg will be easy to run against if supply shortages persist until 2024. They’ve done a good job of hiding his performance as a mayor but his record as Transportation secretary will be easy for an strong opponent to use against Mayor Pete.

Buttigieg being openly gay may play well in Hollywood, on college campuses, and to Democrat whites in liberal cities but it doesn’t play well in the black and Hispanic communities — key Democrat constituencies.

There are many others in the party to run. Gavin Newsome probably has presidential aspirations. So does J. B. Pritzker, governor of Illinios. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez might take a shot at running in 2024. Tulsi Gabbard is clearly positioning herself to run again and is receiving considerable exposure on Fox. Her frequent appearances on Fox are certainly part of a plan to brand her for moderate and unaffiliated voters.

Kirsten Gillibrand may take another run. Certainly there are other Democrat Senators, and a few governors, who are doing the background work and due diligence necessary to run.

Remember Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and Michael Dukakis were state governors without significant national exposure and awareness when they started presidential campaigns and all three won the nomination running against well known politicians in the party. Clinton and Carter both won the general election so an “unknown” can gain the confidence of the electorate during the campaign.

If Trump or DeSantis is the GOP nominee, there may be advantages for the Democrats running someone with “experience” in the Congress, Governor, or even business who lacks a national reputation and can be presented to the electorate as a highly competent and safe individual and only “moderately” liberal. Senator Kyrsten Sinema has shown some independence from the party and is carefully cultivating a “moderate” image. Tulsi Gabbard is trying to position herself as safe and reasonable to moderates. She is a “woman of color” and a veteran. If the Democrats push Harris aside, replacing her with another “woman of color” will help placate the few females and minorities who angry about Kamala being fired by the party insiders.

If Biden is kicked to the curb, and Kamala is not the candidate in 2024, if the Democrat insiders make a rational choice it will be a Trojan Horse female who can be presented as moderate and safe. The radical Democrat base will vote for a moderate nominee, just like the Republican base will vote for a Romney or Bush they know is not really conservative. The key swing vote in presidential elections is white women without political affiliation. A Kyrsten Sinema or Tulsi Gabbard may be very attractive to unaffiliated moderate white women, particularly if the media portrays the GOP candidate as mean, racist, and misogynist.
