I say we enact a 95% tax on every politician.

My point wasn't that you should pay more taxes. They are far too high already. It was that corporate taxes are just passed on to us consumers as higher prices. WE are still paying the tax.
And business's do pay taxes...and if the tax becomes too much they go out of business...when no one will pay the price of their goods.
Businesses pay taxes out of the money they collect from customers. In other words, they collect the money (tax) from the customer and send it to the government. Sure, THEY send the money to the government, but they are just the middleman. They have no choice but to pass the tax on to the customer in the price of their goods/services along with all the other costs of doing business.
The kind of people who vote for Bernie don't get this.

I got that, and it’s true. Eventually you kill the golden goose. I’m sure Bernie is OK with that.

I have done budgeting for private companies. Taxes are a cost of doing business that shows up in next year’s budget. Botton line is that businesses are tax collectors and not payers. If they pay taxes, they no longer exist.

If a business was taxed at 95% then Bernie the socialist would not be able to own 3 homes or a Porsche as those that build such things would be out of business.

Sanders has never been forced to have to defend his philosophy under any real serious scrutiny - only token opposition with little funds to take it to him and explain how absurd and unworkable and absurd his worldview is.
