The legal profession is not as lucrative as you might think. There is a huge oversupply of lawyers! I know a couple of lawyers that gave up practice because they weren’t making any money at it. In one case he went back to the job he did before he came a lawyer.

As a man in a divorce and custody dispute I hired an attorney who was supposed to be the best and was even a judge. After a year and paying him way too much, I fired him for going nowhere. I hired another attorney and he was only slightly better.

I then went pro se (legal-ease for representing myself), I took 3 weeks of vacation time to focus on learning legal strategies and procedures, and in a few months I won custody.

And I'm supposed to believe years of law school is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars? I'm supposed to be intimidated when someone threatens me by saying he's a lawyer? Call me unimpressed.
