Do you know what the HCM Trail was? Did you know that indigenous rebels, fighting an invading super power, which was brutally imposing its will on their country, used the trail to funnel most of their supplies to continue the resistance on the HCM trail? Do you know what the invading super power did to the Ho Chi Minh Trail in those neutral countries? It bombed the bleeping crap out of it. Nah, history, smistory, who needs it? That’s right, you’re “happy to ignore it”. No Shiite!
This topic is not about the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
How many railroad bridges did we bomb in China to keep Chicom and Soviet arms from reaching North Vietnam? How many Soviet Bloc freighters did we torpedo to keep arms from reaching North Vietnam? If you truly cannot distinguish the real world difference between bombing the HCM Trail, which was already under de facto North Vietnamese control, where it ran through Laos and Cambodia, two third world countries, racked by internal divisions and bereft of powerful friends, which we did, and attacking the nuclear armed Soviet Union and China, which we did not, well, bless your heart.
