Now this military offensive by Ukraine during the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022 is designed to trigger some sort of Russian military retaliation.

Can't tell if this is retard fan fiction, bad Russian propaganda, or both. Plz do better.

First of all, let's try to all think critically about this. There is a lot of propaganda out there.

I have read TASS and RT stories about what is happening and it is clearly biased reporting. I have read other accounts. This looks like Russia is setting up a false flag situation where, they will invade in the name of protecting ethnic Russians with Russian papers from Ukrainian military action. When in fact Ukrainian military action is in response to shelling by Russian mercenaries of Ukrainian villages. The Ukrainian military action seems to be counter barrage firing to stop/silence artillary fire from Russian mercenaries.

Russia had a semi-rational reason for what they did in 2014. The Sevastopol naval station is the only warm water port on Russian soil. Russia had a long term lease for the facilities from the Ukraine. If Ukraine became a NATO member as was discussed in 2014, Russian military did not have any idea what that might mean to their critical naval base. I think they over reacted, acted criminally, and tried to create puppet state, but that is history.

The US has a major naval facility in Cuba is similar, but not as strategically important to the US military.

The Ukrainian military knows that without lots of outside support, they will probably be conquered by the Russian military. Their saw what happened in 2014, where Russia annexed large pieces of their country, where Russia destabilized their government, and where Russian mercenaries took even more territory in eastern Ukraine and a undeclared war has been ongoing in eastern Ukraine with little hope of settlement.

Militarily, Ukraine is outmatched. Their military hopes it can make a Russian invasion very costly to Russia in hopes of filling body bags with Russian soldiers. The Ukraine military hopes it can slow a quick invasion into a long drawn out and bloody mess for Russia.

Russia and its mercenaries will provoke Ukrainian military and claim any response is justification for Russia to invade.

Putin has everything he wants under the current NATO charter. Any nation undergoing conflict or revolution may NOT be admitted to NATO.

If Ukraine makes a massive move to take out the people’s militia, then there will be an incursion by Russia, not an invasion. Just enough force to keep them out of NATO.

Dude, are you getting paid by Putin to post this BS story? It looks like you copied a story directly from RT.
