Thank you for sharing that, Wally B! I always love meeting “industry” Freepers. As with you, I retired to other things as to actually MAKE money. The experiences were a treasure and I’m still in touch with a handful of the notable actors I hung with (and all closet conservatives). Very blessed.
The only names of note were a one time production of Dave Brubeck and Marian McPartland when they came to my area once.
Funny thing, I never saw the finished production until a year later when I made copies for some higher up.
My name wasn’t in the credits but someone who wasn’t there that night was.
The PD was a super detailed guy and I asked just to see. He couldn’t remember but maybe the trusted editor got something wrong. If it ever got remastered, he’d fix it. Sadly he died later. It’s trivial now like then because I was looking at any other line of work that paid something.
The misnamed credit was the tech manager favorite son. I was the common nobody who didn’t rate the time of day in his eyes.
