nowhere in that guarantee, do I see that they can take donated funds and give them to another beneficiary
When donors gave their money they entered into a contract. If Go Fund Me unilaterally changed the terms of that contract after the fact they are guilty of breach of contract.
If the terms of the Go Fund Me contract prohibited protest fundraising but allowed this fundraising and then cut off the fundraising, Go Fund Me is guilty of fraud.
If this fundraising was prohibited by the Go Fund Me's terms of use why did Go Fund Me allow the fundraising in the first place?
If Go Fund Me claims criminal acts negate the contract, they will have to explain why Black Lives Matter was funded during government imposed curfews, riots, destruction of property, looting, and arrests.
If this is left unchallenged, any business can confiscate anyone's money at any time for any arbitrary and capricious reason.
Oops.
Which is what I prefer. Why does anyone need to be encouraged by the Donald to do what is right?
AGs work for you and me. They get paid by the taxpayer and in this case are doing the right thing.
We need names and places so we can write them e-mails of encouragement. Or call them.
This ought to be a pretty open and shut case of fraud. Oh, there’s no law against fraud? What a country! /s
In the meantime the truckers suffer.
And with the way the left is acting, they are pushing more into that camp by he day.
I would think attempted robbery probably violates state law π€ͺ
Indeed.
Time to fight back. Glad the state DAs are doing this.
Republican Attorneys General Across U.S. Announce Plans To Probe GoFundMe For Pulling Freedom Convoy

Bend over, GoF%#@Me. You’re about to be probed.
Bump!
Sorry I am not following you here, you seem to making an important point but I am not sure what it is. But then I 'm slow.
The Millennial morons at Reddit are having a conniption about this.
If they don’t want to be part of funding any certain thing, that’s their discretion. But then the reported plan to give it to other organizations vs. giving the money back to the donors would have to be a criminal act as the money was taken under false pretenses. They reversed course - but now we have the issue of whether or not they had in fact given money away to other organizations in other fundraisers than the one the donors thought they were donating to - a full investigation is in fact needed to determine this.
