“Novak had a valid visa and exemption to enter Australia, even the Australian Immigration minister acknowledged that.”

“...Djokovic was denied entry at the Melbourne airport late Wednesday after border officials canceled his visa for failing to meet its entry requirement that all non-citizens be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
Djokovic was given a medical exemption backed by the Victoria state government and Australian Open organizers on Jan. 1, based on information he supplied to two independent medical panels, and he was approved for a visa electronically.

But it has since emerged that the Victoria state medical exemption, allowed for people who tested positive for the coronavirus within the last six months, was deemed invalid by the federal border authorities.”

The state said okay and the feds said no. Not unusual as two others that did the same thing were turned away and left without being argumentative. It’s just like in this country with our state and federal work. Unless the need is determined state, it ultimately belongs to the feds. The feds had a rule in place, he broke it knowingly, he got deported.

“The govt deported him using the extraordinary ministerial power which can be used to deport any foreigner and no need to justify the reason.”

They justified it...he didn’t get the shots, and lied on his request which is probably why the state gave him entry on computer.

You can find that info anywhere. I don’t have to lie...it’’s plainly stated.

Again you are either completely ignorant of the facts of the matter or deliberately lying in your posts.

a) The excemption given to Djokovic by the State govt is a valid exemption accepted by the Federal govt to enter Australia and it was accepted for atleast 5 other tournament participants before they stopped Djokovic. The Federal govt infact in court documents had admitted that Djokovic had a valid visa and exemption to enter the country and it does not contest that. The first visa cancellation and overturning by a judge, the govt did not contest that,

b) The reason provided by the Federal govt in cancelling Djokovic visa once again is because the presence of Djokovic in the country can encourage anti vax views in the community. Nothing to do with his visa form or request form. This is again in court documents. This reason is not subject to due process and the court cannot overturn a ministerial decision used in this manner against a foreigner.
