Home prices, in TX, are still going gangbusters and holding strong, for now.
But....we are FULL, so that could quickly change ;-)
New Mexico has issues. Our governor is a Pelosi-emulating scum bucket. Our tax structure is horrendous. We are overrun with hippies, freaks and relocated Californians (but I am being redundant).
All that being said, our real estate market is still shooting up. My home has gone up over 35% in value in two years. There is only about 30% of the "typical" inventory of homes for sale. Bidding wars are pushing prices far above asking.
I foresee a mighty crash in the future. We have 9 years left of our 10 year plan to retire and this could get ugly.
Same with Phoenix.
I saw a home in a so-so neighborhood with a bad location sell in one day and they got 40 offers.
Happened last weekend.
