Union Pacific isn't the only company furious at the situation.

"According to Guerrero, UPS and FedEx, which utilize Union Pacific's rail services, are seeking to divert their business away from Los Angeles County — and Union Pacific may join them."

If California Democrats follow their usual pattern, they’ll express delight that he’s going to leave, and announce plans to build a California-run railroad to replace it. Of course, this will be followed by a series of huge demands for federal financing from the Brandon administration.

Or did they already do that, I forget.

If only they’d get that high speed rail project working, then theft could really swing into high speed.

High Speed Theft...sounds like a new video game.

All of these shipments are insured against various risks - ship sinking, terrorism, act of God, etc...

What do the insurance companies have to say?

Diverting rail traffic isn’t cheap. I recall hearing in 1980 that when the Air Force launches from Vandenberg, they pay Union Pacific two-million dollars a day in compensation for diverted rail traffic. What would it cost to abandon Los Angeles terminals as well as rails?

"Criminals are caught and arrested, turned over to local authorities for booking, arraigned before the local courts, charges are reduced to a misdemeanor or petty offense, and the criminal is released after paying a nominal fine.

The reason democrat hellhole cities in democrat blue hellhole states do this 'dump the criminals back on the streets bit insanity' is it keeps city crime rates LOOKING low so they can attract new businesses. Then people in LA and other liberal states pretend they're not living in a hellhole.

If this Top Union Pacific official is smart enough to see what's happening he's smart enough to move his family to Florida.

I’m okay with all legitimate commerce, large and small, leaving LA. The jobs and working people will follow, leaving only the criminals. Sounds like a bad movie plot but would be real.

The police and prosecutors are an obstacle to the enforcement of property law.

They should be defunded 10% per year until they get the message.

And we return to the age of men riding shotgun for freight. With shotguns.
