How do people let themselves get so obese? I and my wife had to deal with our nice but obese neighbor 3 nights ago. She had just returned from the hospital and while paying the driver her legs were going wobbly and looking to go down hard on the driveway. We managed to keep her steady as I ran over to our garage to get something for her to sit on. She was locked out of her house.

I check her vitals, but since she was somewhat lucid, no worries. The Paramedics arrived shortly and put her on a gurney that took 3 of them to do so. One of the Paramedics said we probably saved her life. I am so proud of my wife for assisting to keep her steady once we sat her down. Interesting how my Navy first aid training kicked in.

Turned out she prematurely released herself from the hospital after having a mini-stroke. Stupid since she's a RN. I doubt she will live out this year.
