"To slow the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (“COVID-19”), this Order prohibits large gatherings, as defined, as well as gatherings of 12 or more individuals of any age who are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19, for the duration of this Order."
As written, it would prohibit gatherings of 12 people of higher risk, not drop the 50-person limit to 12 people if one of them was defined as "higher risk".
Not defending the order even as its actually written, but surprise, blog clickbait is claiming something a little bit juicier than reality.
Got it.
Still stinks.
The two statements are the same. One just spells it out clearly, the other hides the truth in high sounding inexact verbiage.
Don’t mean to split hairs. The actual wording says one or two people in an at risk group drops the number down to 12:
Gatherings of individuals of any age that includes person(s) who are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19 shall be limited to no more than 12 people, except for family gatherings.
Yes. This is legit.
