'How “free” is our press today when it rigidly follows the Democrat party line, and allows for no opposing views?'

Just look a former paper names or some current ones. They were basically party named papers. A business isn't a democracy. One would hope a business is allowed to only put out what they want. Just look at FR, a business. There is control of various things, and this isn't a 'press' publisher.

You’re right about that. But here’s the thing. The Republican-leaning news sources have pretty much faded away. The Democrat-leaning news sources now predominate. On the national level, there is no longer the balance the country needs.

I suppose the Vietnam war had a lot to do with that. Vietnam shoved a lot of news folks to the left, and it’s pretty much stayed that way. I wish I had a solution to that, but I don’t.
