Ted Cruz Dons the Pink Yarn Hat of Social Justice
biggunbulletin.com ^ | 1/6/22

This would probably be a good time to remind everyone that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) refused to endorse Donald Trump for president at the RNC nominating convention back in 2016. We could have ended up with “President Hillary Clinton” because of that petty stunt, but fortunately, support for Trump was way too massive.

Cruz is easy to like for those of us on the right, so it’s always painful to watch when he has one of those “moments” where he figuratively pours gas on himself and lights a match. He had another one this week when delivering a speech in the Senate. Cruz said that the January 6 protests were a “violent terrorist attack,” using the approved talking points of Nancy Pelosi to describe what was actually a mostly peaceful protest.

That speech earned Cruz a trip to the forefront of the world of memes, and this little gem where he’s wearing one of the pink yarn hats from the Women’s March. A violent terrorist attack?

Good grief! Many of the people targeted by the Justice Department since that day are our friends and neighbors. It really was a mostly peaceful protest. Whose side is Ted Cruz on, anyway?

“Honey, we only dated once. No. I don’t love you. Could you please stop calling me.”

That is classic.

“Ted Cruz was referring to those who attacked the cops, those who smashed up crap at the capitol.”

If that’s what Ted was referring to, he should’ve included that in his original statements (plural), rather than tacking it on as an afterthought after being called out.

“Now it’s time to use his other expression and tell HIM to “move on”.”

But for others, I’ll summarize my position with Cruz:

1. If he’s on the ballot in November, 2024, he gets my vote. There is literally NOTHING he can do to lose it. And that includes being identified as the Zodiac Killer (just kidding). I know who the Democrats are and what they are craving to do, so the decision to support him in that election is a no-brainer (and I wish others would study up on what the Democrat Party has become).

2. But I do not speak for the entire GOP base. A good portion of the base, maybe 20%, simply WILL NOT vote for someone who continually insults them by words or actions, regardless of that person’s creds as a conservative (and Cruz is flawless there). They will vote for someone else in the Primary, and if Cruz wins the Primary, they’ll skip voting for him in November.

3. Texas is a PURPLE State, and without the above vote or crossover/moderate votes, Cruz loses in Nov. 2024, that simple. At this point, he won’t get that vote and he sure as hell won’t be getting any ‘moderate’ votes (Cornyn doesn’t need the above vote, Cruz does). Therefore, I can no longer support him in his next Primary, as it’s more important to me to HOLD THE SEAT, and I gain no financial benefit in his campaign extending another 8 months or so, the time between the Primary and General elections (others here may have something to gain). If the Cruz loses and is replaced by a Lindsey Graham clone, he’ll still my vote in November (but will likely lose anyway). But I suspect that a true conservative, without the baggage of Cruz, will be the nominee. Plenty of them in Texas.

4. That’s it. The bottom line is that Republicans DO NOT get to decide who our Senators are here in Texas, TEXANS get that decision, and those TEXANS include the nearly 50% of the public that hates our guts. They will vote in unison to oust Cruz, and if a decent portion of our side doesn’t show up, the Democrat wins, as we almost saw with Beto in 2018 (when people were still angry at Cruz for his Convention stunt).

Cruz is a real screwup and needs to be smacked upside the head 🤪

He’s untrustworthy and inconsistent at best.

“ Cruz will continue to be our senator from the great state of Texas. You know, the most conservative state in the union.”

Texas is not the most conservative state in the union. 🤪

Try Wyoming and Oklahoma - not a single blue county between the two of them.

He would be a better Senator if he gave up trying to violate the Constitution.
Cubans born in Canada are in no way natural born citizens of the USA.
His ambition knows no bounds.
Not even the Constitution.

So, people, let’s not give the leftist victory.

Ted already did that by calling us terrorists.

I used to be a Cruzer until Trump doubled down on his comments about how “Mexico doesn’t send us their very best” and in particular about victims of illegal aliens.

Since that time, Cruz has shown himself to be a strange political animal and in several ways quite distasteful, such as blaming Trumplicans for the BLM violence against them, not endorsing Trump at the convention, not being NBC, and this little latest sendup.

He apologized. That’s all the man can do.

Big difference between apologizing because you made a mistake and apologizing because your tits are in a wringer. Remember he apologized when he went to Cabo last year during the ice storm. Only came back because where his nipples were. The ass clown like Cronyn are tone deaf and nothing more than Mitch McConnell rats. I don’t was a red wave of re-elected Rinos and rats. Time to completely clean house. Follow the tag line!

A domestic abuse victim is conditioned to believe that if they only give in, their abuser would stop.

The Republican half of the Uniparty is going to promote RINOs as long as victims accept them. We got into this situation due to the acceptance of RINOs and need to stop.

Let no one forget that Obamacare, a massive Socialist LAW, is Romneycare.

It’s just important we take back the house and or the senate in Nov. We have got to put a halt to this leftist idiocy.

In addition, Romney signed the homo marriage law in MA,the first in the country, I believe, and an “Assault Weapons” ban. Has anyone among the GOPe ever challenged him on that? I guess conservatives are supposed to support Republicans like him, what, because Democrats would be worse?

We had the House and the Senate and the same RINOs we elected got us here. They profit off the fear that they're the only ones who will do anything. We're long overdue for telling both halves of the Uniparty to come back to us with better candidates.

Our government has swung back and forth since the beginning of this nation. Kinda a check and balance so we prevented going to far to either side.

A lil different with such extreme leftist in government now. Left is like way way out in left field. Communist left.

“It’s just important we take back the house and or the senate in Nov. We have got to put a halt to this leftist idiocy.”

Are you aware that there are plenty of OTHER Republicans who can win and have won statewide elections in Texas?

You seem to think it’s Cruz or a Democrat. Sorry to inform you, but we have a Primary process, in part to weed out weak candidates, and Cruz is beyond weak at this point - he’s a SURE LOSER in his next November election.

Cruz will get Primaried by a credible candidate, and God willing, he’ll lose, so that we can hold that Senate seat.
