Absolutely. Smart of Tucker to bring that into the argument. Cruz is a clever wordsmith, and he knew EXACTLY what he was saying. Another pol might get away with an, “Aw, shucks. I mis-spoke”, but not Cruz.

At first I didn’t get it, why Carlson prefaced the interview with “you are much smarter than me”.

IT GRADUALLY DAWNED ON ME Tucker was maneuvering Cruz in a corner, he could not claim he wasn’t thinking or spoke absentmindedly. Well he could, just not with so much credibility. Tucker: you are sly…but so am I.
