If Cruz tries to run for both the Senate and President simultaneously, we need a very strong, accomplished, and likeable candidate on his right to split his focus.
Brady would make an excellent Senator to represent Texas, too. He's 66 years old (Cruz is 51), served in the House for 13 terms, and in the Texas House of Representatives for three terms. Brady's district voted for the Republican presidential candidate by 70+ percent in the last six elections.
Brady knows his way around Congress and served as the Chairman of the most powerful committee in the House, where tax law is written. If Brady can make a strong showing against Cruz in the 2024 Senate primary, it opens the door for allies to run ads against Cruz, saying "If Texans don't support Cruz for Senate, why would Americans vote for him to be President?"
I think Kevin Brady has what it takes to take Cruz' Senate seat away from him in 2024, and therefore undermining his 2024 presidential ambitions in the process.

Drunk driving Brady, the beltway dinosaur? Seriously? Just what we need a lifelong parasite.
