Unless the “author” self-published, how could her editors not have picked up on this massive error? This case was in the news for more than a year and the identities of the men who died were well known, as was the fact eacb was white. So, was the sloppy writing simply a mistake, was it poor editing, or was it an intentional and malicious effort to defame Rittenhouse? Because Rittenhouse arguably became a public figure as a consequence of this case, it might not be enough for him to win if the author and the editors simply were negligent.
