South Africa like Israel has some of the world’s premier biolabs. They have an large and active pharmaceutical industry with BL3 labs available publicly and likely BL4 still secretly they had a very active and large bioweapons program during the apartheid regime. They have the technology to sequence the SARS COVID virus down to the individual base of its RNA in a days time or less once PCR replication is done and that is under 24 hours in a high end lab.
