Judge can render a not guilty verdict, even if that is contrary to a unanimous guilty verdict. happened recently in, IIRC a case tangentially related to Trump - accusation was failure to register as an agent of a foreign government. Jury said guilty, judge said not guilty, end of case.
Judge cannot modify a not guilty, that is off limits.

Yeah, it’s probably not true - there’s 10 on the jury in fear for their lives, and everyone heard George Floyd’s family say they would get them.

This is why the judge should grant the defense motion to dismiss with prejudice. Justice is done and can’t be blamed on jurors.
if I were on that jury, I would insist that it deliberate through the night and if the conclusion has already been made, wait until 5AM and render it then.
The punks outside will just about all go home to their night night time.

Like I said, if I were on the jury, I would indicate a deliberation into the night and render the verdict at around 5AM in the morning.

Well, yes. In a perfect world. This is not that world. In this world their is a thirst for revenge amongst various groups/gangs. They’ve made threats and hints at violence already.
