Chicago has 13 times as many people as Rochester, NY. Scaling up Rochester's rate to Chicago would result in 91 homicides in 3 days for a city the size of Chicago. That's a rate even Chicago usually doesn't have.

I suspect there is some kind of gang war going on in Rochester. Hopefully it will end soon to spare the innocent who get caught in firefights, or injured or killed by stray bullets.

Those innocents who get killed do NOT get “protests” and rioting in the streets.

Happens all the time. Innocent little black children, shot in the crossfire - no rioting. (Not that I want riots, but you get the point.)
