Correct. And that’s the way it should be.
So let’s say that you and your main squeeze are sitting on a park bench. It’s a pleasant day, and the two of you are having a nice conversation. I have the legal right to pull up a chair six feet from you, and start filming. Yes, I have that right.
And maybe you’ll reaction with anger. Great! Then I can put my video on YouTube and get a million hits.
But my videotaping is not morally right. And that’s what I’m arguing here. Do the right thing. Not just legally, but morally. Be considerate to people who mean no harm to you.
