I had 2 friends die from Covid in October. I know people for whom Covid was just a headache. I know people still suffering from heart issues due to Covid. Covid is a gamble.

I had one friend of 35 years, a healthy man and long time cancer survivor, unvaxed, who came down with COVID, but did not treat it vigorously at first. He ended up spending a few weeks in the hospital before he died of general organ failure. I suspect the medical protocol killed him more than the virus.

I had another close friend - a 70+-year-old unvaxed woman with multiple co-morbidities - who was diagnosed with COVID and pneumonia. She rode it out at home and had a rough time, and I spent several late nights talking with her when should couldn't sleep. She has recovered fully and now has a new lease on life.

When her illness was at its worst and she was struggling to breathe, I asked her if she regretted not getting vaxed. He answer was a most definite "No!".
