There are lots of parents out there that have college degrees.

It’s about time some of them get their teaching certificates, it’s only a test, organize and start their own schools. All the kids have to do is pass state tests anyway.

Then get together with the rest of the taxpayers and get rid of their school taxes. If their county commission or city council resists, recall everyone on them and elect folks that will defund the school system.

A time consuming endeavor but not a real difficult one.

Or just homeschool or join co-ops. The mechanisms are already in place for most states. Whether a parent is a certified teacher has had no effect on the student achievement.

In most states, you have to have studied education in order to be able to take the tests for teacher certification. That means, for those with college degrees, that you need to get a Masters Degree in education.

There are some programs for older people who have worked. Homeschooling your children does not get you into that program.
