And I think you just judged me!!
Anyway Jesus told me to “judge with righteous judgement” and I will obey Him as best I can.
Jesus told you NOT to judge. You’re mistranslating that passage, it’s supposed to be DISCERN. But judgementalist church lady Marthas like you stick to your guns and your religion so that you can be in a position to judge others, hence you hold up folks from getting into heaven because they don’t want anything to do with such a judgemental God as you propose. Your God is too small. And you will be held accountable by the same pressed-down measure.
And I think you just judged me!!
***Then you’re right at home. You’ll be judged by the same measure of judgementalism you display. Luke 6:38.
When Jesus was overturning tables, was that “rude”? Was He being unChristlike when He called false teachers of His day ‘vipers’, ‘unmarked graves’, and ‘worshippers of Satan’? Then I have some leeway in dealing with false teachers like you, Martha. Take the Lord’s admonition of your small spiritedness to heart.
Don’t be hypercritical; use your head—and heart!—to discern what is right, to test what is authentically right.”

it never gets through to you people. Your judgemental spirit keeps people from Heaven.
...................................................
Complete nonsense. You are either a very gullible person being used by evil people or you’re an evil person yourself. Why do I say that? Because truly evil people are trying to destroy all that is good in the world, especially the good that has been brought into the world by the United States of America. In order to achieve their goals evil people know that they must SILENCE everyone who voices opposition to their behavior and their goals. And the way to silence them (short of killing them)is to convince them that it is morally wrong for them to be JUDGEMENTAL!
We are in the trouble we are today because we are not judging to high standards and holding our selves to the same high standards
........................................................
That is exactly right, and the people on this thread that are whining about the “sin” of being judgemental do not realize that they are pawns being used by exceedingly evil people whose goal is to SILENCE all opposition to their attempt to destroy America by transforming it into a Democrat/Communist hellhole like those that have tortured and murdered millions of innocent people. NEVER STOP BEING JUDGEMENTAL!
“Did you ever consider that rebuildus is Patrick Rooney? (And that’s why humblegunner is harassing him...)”
Right, Albion, we’re one and the same. Is that a crime? Many of us know the reason why humblegunner has it in for me—ready: I’m a BLOGGER.
Don’t know why he has such a problem with bloggers, maybe because it reminds him he isn’t doing anything useful for his country.
It makes him crazy that I write a piece, and then put a standard bio afterwards saying “Patrick Rooney is....” He thinks its some kind of moral outrage that I do it this way. Last I checked, we still live in a country where I at least have the freedom to write my blog and bio as I see fit.
Humblegunner saves most of his vitriol when I do a piece where I’ve examined myself, fallen short, and then learned from my error to pass on a life lesson to others. Somehow that’s a threat he just cannot handle.
So instead of looking at my supposed “crime,” Albion, perhaps someone should take a hard look at humblegunner, to see why he freaks out over introspective blogging, and to ask what value he actually contributes to this forum or the current state of our republic.
“Don’t know what kind of meditation he is practicing, but that statement doesn’t sound right at all. The idea of meditation is to free the mind, quite the opposite of judging and labeling things.”
You are correct on this point, Albion. I said at one point, I had begun practicing a form of meditation that included hypnotic techniques.
“I dont hate any person for being “wrong.”
I despise them for being evil and relishing in it, and encouraging others to be evil. I hate wickedness that is encouraged and fostered and protected while declaring good to be evil and persecuting the good.”
Believe me, Secret Agent Man, I understand that, and have hated this too. But hating evil is still evil. You’re free to engage in it, but it is the OPPOSITE of Christianity.
“Oh... Now that could tick someone off. I wonder what the priest’s reason was.”
“The son had been divorced.”
Ok, then the problem is with Catholic church policy. The priest was just following policy.
“It’s the little things in life that give us pleasure. Actually the little things may mean more for us than the big things. I desire to win the lottery. Should I put my happiness on hold while I have the opportunity to watch a sundown with my bride? I think not. Live each day as it is our last. Cheers to you Rebuildus, I drink to your happiness as well.”
Thanks, BipolarBob. Same to you! (though I’m not taking a drink right now, but you get the point!)
My comment about you being one and the same, Patrick, was not directed at you, but at the naïve poster who scolded others because s/he believed you were not the same, without having checked.
It IS morally wrong because the bible says judge not lest you be judged. Jesus said in John 3:17 that He came not to judge, so that makes YOU the disobedient, pharisaical, wokescolding church lady Martha who is not listening to the Lord’s direct rebuke from scripture.
The fact that you try to label it evil is a sign of your horrible judgemental small-spiritedness. Then you throw in more nonsense about America in an attempt to obfuscate. Take a FReeping critical thinking class and learn to avoid classical fallacies. I doubt you even know what fallacies are.
You are a false teacher and it is time for VEHEMENCE in opposing you, the way Christ was vehement against the false teachers of His day. Or do you accuse Christ of being unChristlike whenHe was calling people like you ‘sons of satan’?
Understand, Albion, NP
Oh! Ok then.
In all seriousness, at the risk of sounding like your Sunday School teacher…and I have been one many times…
We need to look at all of scripture to see what God wants. Looking at all the instruction on the subject you will discover we are to be neither potted plants smiling benignly while someone commits atrocities nor pharisees striding about condemning a short tithe.
“Judge not that ye be not judged” is the unbelievers’ favorite partial and truncated verse/teaching for a reason. They hate it when we are salt and light. They hate hearing evil called out. When we obey God and judge with righteous judgement and refuse to sin by omission by ignoring it all we are taken to task for judging and it’s absolute garbage. When the Nazis have Kristallnacht, judge. When your neighbor tortures a cat, judge. When you sit in a jury, judge. In a proper case if church discipline, judge. You see someone boosting a car, judge. Etc.
No He did not sin.
And I am not teaching anything false.
Agreed we will all be judged accordingly. That’s why I try to judge with righteous judgement and not as the Scribes and Pharisees as we have been warned.
I call out abuse and evil and lies when I see it. Not like I am so great but as a witness and to protect myself and others. Do you not know that the saints will judge the world ?
I think a problem you are having is imagining judging to be always equivalent to hypocritically haranguing people about exaggerated or imagined offenses. That is not righteous judging.
And I am not keeping anyone from heaven. I have no desire to and if I did I am not that powerful.
