If he prescribes dosages or schedules outside indications he could get in trouble.
But otherwise he is free to use any drug any way he wants. It’s called using a drug off-label which is done all the time.
What stops them now is reimbursement and other payments.
If the patient pays there is no problem.
And anyone can sue at any time for anything, which would be a consideration.
