From people with firearms that shoot serious rounds. A 7.62x51 had more muzzle velocity at 100 yards than 5.56x45 has at the muzzle. Any hunter using game rounds like 7MM Remington Magnum or 300 WINMAG can easily take you out before your M4 can reach them.

Let’s say the current million man US Military is turned against citizens. Let’s also say 60 million citizens are Patriots ready to resist. Citizens are not stupid. They will fight an a-synchronous guerrilla warfare against a hostile occupying force. They have numerical, terrain, surprise, and are just as well armed as the occupiers. Many are prior service and can conduct tactical raids.

Drone, AirPower, and mechanized will be useless among the populace. Who who play a game of attrition with 60 to 1 disadvantage? Every victory would be Pyrrhic!

Some lessons must be relearned every few years. More recently, events in a nasty little central-Asian country during the last few days should temper her swagger toward her heavily-armed countrymen, many of whom have similar or better training than her, along with combat experience.

All you gotta do is watch some episodes of American Ninja Warrior. Men and women have to run the exact same obstacle courses, and the girlies wash out left and right. The ones that do make it through all the way have trained like crazy, focused on some particular skillsets and may have some genetics that gave them an edge, but were still seriously beat & exhausted at the end. Also youth plays a part and they age out of effectiveness before the men do. The courses get harder as the competition continues and they all eventually get eliminated. So much for that equality red herring.
