1.It is unlikely that all Americans will be evacuated by August 31st.
2. Concerns that Kabul Airport can not remain secured.
3. That intelligence agencies were increasingly pessimistic about the Afghan government staying in power. That the Taliban were quite capable of taking over the country.
Now all of that certainly matches what has been reported and what has been seen. Just because it is Schiff making these points does not make them lies. The truth is the truth even when told by the liar. All of this can be verified by disinterested sources. Don’t shoot the message.

Kabul airport isn’t secure. The Taliban has everything from mortars to old Soviet howitzers. They could shell it and make it impossible to land or take off. We could suppress them with air strikes, but they’d be back as soon as the planes were gone.
