“Who’s the Beast?”
My interpretation follows those who do not look for a specific “Antichrist” or world ruler that you can name as “The Beast” (like a Hitler sort of figure) but that there is a world system “the beast” as evidenced by the imagery of prophecy, seven heads and ten horns, it sounds to me more like a world system than one man.
I wouldn’t go as far as saying any one man in leadership is “the Beast” nor would I look for one. I think this current situation is what we were warned about, and the fact that many are unaware does not contradict other parts of prophecy — the end comes when most are unaware, and not at a time they expect it. Whether that refers to people in general or the faithful is not clear.
You can’t leave out his side kick the false prophet in all of this.
I agree. The beast of Revelation is clearly modeled on the beasts of Daniel. The beasts in Daniel represented empires not individuals.
