I was never really Rah-Rah USA for the Olympics, I liked good stories about great athletes regardless of where they were from. Although, yes I always enjoyed when the Commies lost, especially the "Miracle on Ice".

But the fact is, a lot of athletes who compete for other countries, live and train right here in the US, and many have attended US Universities.

I care more about the medal count by University:

Go Gators!

I was always a rah-rah Go USA type...not this time. The cartoon in the article exemplifies me perfectly for this Olympics and sadly, future Olympics.

This list of Olympic medals by USA colleges is very cool. There are already almost 200 medals listed. I have always wanted the scoreboards to show two flags next to each name, first the country they are representing and secomd the country where they live and/or train. So many non-Americans athletes have the EEEEVIL (/s) USA as their country of choice.

Representing a country where a person has never lived but where one’s spouse or grandparents were born makes a mockery of representing one’s country.
