As it is, Joe is turning out to be WAAAAAY less functional than they counted on (and WAAAY sooner than expected), and he's twice as much of a liability than they thought possible.
Add to that, they covered themselves with s*&t and their credibility (such as it ever WAS) is totally gone.
So, even though their bench is DEEP, “Mr. and Mrs. Voter” are daily and almost hourly, diddled out of anything remotely like a political victory! How's that gonna play in 2024?
Don’t get all hung up on Kamala’s 1%. Democrats will get behind whomever the party deems as the best chance to preserve power.
If she’s the incumbent and perhaps even if Biden finishes his term but foregoes re-election, you’ll see them rally around her as if she were Karl Marx’s wife. I wouldn’t rule out a primary challenge from AOC in the latter scenario, but it probably wouldn’t happen.
Bottom line is I think they’re undecided because they need to see about Biden’s approval rating and whether he’s still even alive by then. If he deteriorates slowly enough that the media can shield him through another election, they will do that to hold the WH.
